I just posted this on the wrong board, so hopefully this one is correct! Thanks for the help!

Hi,

I thought I had everything under control for our trip in two days until
I started reading the Sea World website (which I should've done sooner,
I guess)! Anyway, I notice that there is a light show at night and we
have scheduled an ADR at Kona Cafe that night, thinking we'd leave the
park at around 7pm. Is this a mistake? Should we definitely stick
around the park until later - can we ride more rides, etc at night?
Thanks for your help!!

I would personally skip the ADR and stay at SeaWorld to see the light show. In the past they have been pretty cool. There is also usually a nighttime Shamu show that is different then the daytime ones. Yes, you can still ride the rides, but remember that there are not that many rides at SeaWorld! SeaWorld Orlando is a lot of walking and I find it to be a more tiring park then any of the WDW parks. You are in the sun and getting wet all day. We take more rest stops throughout the day when we are there. Staying later also lets you linger a little longer in some areas...like the polar bear/beluga whale exhibit ...where it is nice and cool!

I would definitely stay throught the night shows. There is also a different seimore(sp?) and clyde show where they poke fun at all the other shows and rides. It is hilarious.

The light and firework show was also awesome!

hth!

I also agree that you should stay for the nighttime shows at Sea World.

I also just wanted to add that although you were able to have your question answered here on the Orlando board, you should also be aware that there is a DIS forum dedicated to Sea World/Discovery Cove. Head over there for lots of great information:

Have a wonderful trip!
