........I love the layout!
Now about that advice :teeth:.......

Oh wow! Thanks! I love it too!

So what could I possibly help you with? (In case you've missed it in my other posts, I'm in pretty much the same boat as you are, but I don't even have 4 pages finished! ;))

Oooh, report back on that trip. And have fun!! I wonder if the seller has anymore layouts like this? Do you think she put it together, or bought it like that and is reselling?

I think she puts them together herself because she says in the ad that the photo square's are not attached so you can move them where you want them. She also gives a list of the exact supply's she used. I would imagine she might have made more than one of these because she lists alot of other pages so I think this is her business but I don't know. Worst comes to worst with the list you could track down the supplies.

This is my first time on a disney cruise so I am very excited. I love the park and everything Disney does so I know I won't be disappointed. I am hoping we get fireworks for pirates night but peolpe are saying not until Feb. But I am on the boat until Feb 3rd so maybe!

Alas, I'm not near you. :( Whoville is just a reference to my current avatar. I did that before Christmas, but didn't want to change until I could change the avatar too. So for me, Whoville is about 35 miles NW of Philadelphia PA. (If you're following the storm on the Weather Channel we're within the area that just got upgraded to 12" - 16" tomorrow. :scared1:

DS also loves pirates & because of her hero worship, DD loves them as well! pirate: pirate:

Hey guys I won the auction for the pirate pages! $11.50 total for shipping and everything. If you want I will let you know when it arrives (or when I get back from Disney) how they are and if the quality is there.
Well two pages down. :cool1:

WOW!!! I can't believe people sell pre-made pages on e-bay!!! Learn something new EVERYDAY!!!

Back to the scrapping subject . . . I like to scrap alone at night. With four kids it's the only quiet time I have!!! It's SO relaxing. My friend has been trying to get me to go with her to another friends house to a weekly scrapbook night. There are about five or six women involved. They even bought a sizzix machine together and keep it there!!! (I guess I'm selfish, I need my own!!!) I like having all my stuff available when I scrap. You never know what you might need!!
:cool1:

Another "collector" here - althought I do have quite a few pages in albums! I prefer the simple scrapbook style and find myself getting overwhelmed with how my pages look (or don't look) when I read some magazines and see their layouts. I'm trying to refocus and remember who I am scrapping for. Becky Higgins "Sketches" book is one I am using a lot. I also like "Simple Scrapbooks" magazine. I love to scrapbook with my neighbor and some friends when we get a chance. I don't have the CM planning box so I use the 2 gallon zip lock bags to preplan my pages.

Have fun getting started using up your stash :D

I had to check out the pirate page. very cool pirate:

Are you a creative memories consultant? I'll check into the workshops and I will keep you posted. Thanks :flower1:

I used to be a creative memories consultant. I had to give it up because I am an elementary school teacher, I am in an accelerated grad program and I am teaching a college course. I totally miss it!

I only used CM products then and still do now. Although I taught my customers the value of using cm products it was always their choice as to what they should use and I never made them feel uncomfortable for the choices they made.

Even though I was a consultant, I found it hard to complete pages until I started going to other workshops (not my own). This way I made time to get my albums done without worrying about helping others.

Some people can just sit and scrap by themselves. I love to be around others so it's best for me to go to workshops. Do what works best for you.

I agree with Pooh Bear. Shop around for a consultant until you find the person who is the right match for you and never feel ashamed of your pages. I have actually talked some customers out of buying stuff because I felt they were buying for the wrong reason-just to have more stuff.

Remember, scraping/album making is about the history you leave behind. What you can do with a pen and a few pictures far outweighs what you can do with some stickers and fancy paper.

You cna do it!

OK putting that link in there for yet another potential scrapbook purchase (which I loved, BTW) is like putting a tall, frosty margarita in front of an alcoholic

Sorry about that! :earboy2: I know the feeling, trust me!

BTW: when I looked up the consultants, some of them have "CON" listed under their titles (which I assume means consultant) and others have "UL". Can you tell me what the UL means?

UL means Unit Leader. She's (or he) is a consultant leader who has (umm, I think) 12 or so consultants under her. Nothing that will really effect you except that she might have larger workshops. I would also suggest when checking out other consultants is to see if they have all day or even over nights crops. My group of consultants has about 5 all day crops a year and now we are looking into weekend/overnight crops. They are a lot of fun and you can get SO much accomplished. If you're ever able to get away for that long, I highly recommend it!

You know, I'm also thinking that it would help you if you got some idea books. I really rely on idea books to scraplift pages b/c honestly, I'm not all that creative. So maybe checkout one or two of those. I use mostly CM ones b/c that just my style, but there are a lot out there.

I think a rolling cart would help you a lot. That way you could kind of keep everything out, yet it's mobile and can be put away. I hope that it would help get you started.

I was wondering about the UL because the person I worked with before had that by her name.

I have about 15 idea books-LOL. They are also part of my addiction.

My goal for this weekend is to find a rolling cart and sort through at least 1 box of photos.

Gosh, we have a lot in common. Other than the scrapping, I was also an elementary teacher going through an accelerated grad program. Haven't taught college yet, but after I go back and finish nursing school, I want to teach nursing. :D

Oh my, she relisted and started bidding at $9.99 this time!

I'm glad you won. I might have to scraplift again - LOL

CaptHooksmom: Maybe since Lost is in reruns for the next two Wednesday you could do some scrapping on those days. I'm just as hooked on it as you and I'm on that thread as well!! However I have the hots for Jack!

Hmmm....I'm not sure if you're kidding or serious. But, I'm ashamed to admit I will be faithfully watching the re-runs looking for clues/something I missed the first time/Sawyer  hehe.

LOL-Have I worn out my welcome on the LOST thread?? I'll try not to post much during the next 2 weeks but I can't promise anything after that ;)

Hey I can't find where she re-listed it. Is it the same seller? I looked under all her auction but couldn't find anything.

I too keep all my scrapbook stuff in a rolling drawer system (target). Space is limited in my house so I have to store it away when not using it. I keep all my sticker's, borders, tags, etc., in a three ring binder with plastic sleeves so I can flip through them when looking for a project and all my embellishments are in this tool box I bought at Walmart that has four clear 8 x 10 boxes that slide into a carrier with a handle. Each box has the little dividers in it so you can make a lot of little compartments or what ever size you need and you can see in them without opening them.

Anyway sorry if that was to much information. I told my husband if we win the lottery I'm building a craft room, Yeah!

OK I just went back through this thread and saw you were talking about Lost. LOVE that show! Do you think they are all dead? and the island is some kind of purgatory. They all have 'issues' that are unresolved. I have not been to the other thread, didn't know one existed, just thought I would ask you.
