Hi
I know there are loads of experts out there so can I please pick your brains!!

Flying to Florida in August- two of us on continental code share with Virgin and one booked direct with Virgin.
When we booked with Continental they said it was in Premium Economy but on the Virgin site the outbound flight says PE and allows us to reserve PE seats but the Inbound flifgt says Economy so we can only reserve in Economy. Have tried to sort this out with Continental and Virgin but got nowhere. Our e-ticket from Continental says Economy(fare class U).

My dilema is I can now upgrade the other member in our party who is booked direct with virgin for £170 return which seems quite a good price? but I don't want to do this then get to the airport and find that the two of us on the codeshare have been moved out of PE for the outbound flight. We are not travelling back together and as we booked with continental the system will not allow us to upgrade for our flight back.:confused3

I'd be really grateful for some advice from you wise souls who fly frequently.

Many thanks

Continental fare code U is Discounted Economy. Virgin fare code U is Companion or Reward Premium Economy. Is your ticket designated as U both ways?

I think this is one of those circumstances where no amount of advice is going to resolve this for you. You need to persevere with Continental to establish exactly what you've booked with them.
