Help! I am a Disney addict who may have gone on overload. DD and I have our second annual mom/daughter solo trip planned for August. OUr trip is planned and paid for, all our ADRs are made, the princess tea party and family magic tour have been arranged and paid for; spending money is put away. Now that all that is done I am feeling a little let down. I have never planned (and paid for) a trip this far out before. IT always used to be a last minute thing - that I got very exctied over. Don't get me wrong I am still excited - it just seems there is this pre trip let down I am experiencing. I need some help!

How I can get the magic back!

after we plan everything, I start playing disney music in the car...not just Disney songs, I have recordings of the parades, old and new, music in the streets, the fireworks shows, etc. it gets me in the mood. pixiedust:

You could start putting stuff away in your suitcase, maybe go to the mall and shop for some new shoes or something you could use in the parks. You could also watch your favorite disney movies or play the soundtracks like the previous post suggested. You might want to check travel channel's tv show listings at their website because a lot of times in the summer months they have shows such as Great Hotels with Samantha Brown filmed at Disney Resorts. The food network sometimes features Disney World events on their station as well. These shows will definitely get you in the mood!

Thanks for the ideas - I have an old parade CD we could listen to. I wonder if I could get the new music ahead of time? that would be a great way to get us warmed up.

I like to visit the Disney Store or disneyshopping online to help ease the time between trips. Sometimes they have cute matching clothes you could look at for the two of you...? Luggage tags, shorts, T's...it's all fun to look at and plan.

CD's in the car are great too, as well as all the Travel Channel Great Hotels, as previously mentioned.

I know how you feel - I get so overloaded on planning and then when we get right up to being ready to go it all feels overwhelminginly "eh" sometimes.

But the second I get on that plane, I'm excited again!
