We have been renting points at DVC for 5 years and I am renting points for a split stay at BCV (8/10) and WVL this summer! Recently, I found out that I may need to have surgery, and unfortunately it can only be scheduled during our WVL stay. http://www.wdwinfo.com/images/smilies/sad20.gif
I have had trouble reaching the member I am renting from and hope someone might know some options. My first priority is that the owner not lose any money -- I know owners take some risk when renting and appreciate the ability to rent points! That said, I am totally willing to "keep" the reservation even if we can't make the stay (although I hate for it to go to waste!). But, I wonder if there is the option to cancel w/o the owner losing the points so we can get at least some refund? Any info anyone has would be great.

We didn't have a written contract, but I have always gone under the premise that once I send a payment I am 100% obligated. This year is something I could not have anticipated. We don't need to leave WDW until 8/14 so I will keep my fingers crossed that something can be done before the 31 day mark.
