Help! Quick Costume Ideas!

Well, golly gee whiz, the most magical and wonderful time of the year is almost upon us! HALLOWEEN! And I do not have a costume ready yet! And I'm on candy duty!

I was wanting to be Ursula the sea witch. Because I, er... have the body type. The top part I should be able to pull together pretty quick (Purple/blue spandex top, matching body/face paint, crazy makeup, fangs, fake red fingernails, wig, earrings, necklace). However, I'm stumped on what to do for the dress/tentacles.

I could find a shiny black sleeveless dress pretty easy, but how to do the tentacles?

Any other good, last minute costume ideas? If I cannot think of anything, I may just be a very tall grim reaper (we have very high platform shoes), but we did that last year.

Also, pictures of your costumes are welcome! Last minute or not! Because we all like pictures.

For tentacles, what about stuffing several black pantyhose (with...rags? Crumbled newspaper?)?

As for other ideas, FamilyFun is always my go-to place for all Halloween costumes!

me! i know how! One of my aunts kids went as a sea witch. We bought the thicker kids tights from goodwill (99 cents a pair) Cut them apart down the middle and used fiber fill. They were dark enough you couldnt see through. We then took a hanger and poked holes in them (so they all ended up attached to the hanger) and then shoved the hanger into the back of her shirt (ducktaped the ends so they wernt pointy). Went well, stayed on all night and terrified the cat (just a side perk).

So I think I've got it. Find 3-4 pairs of cheap black pantyhose. Fill said pantyhose with something soft and plushy. Use a black hanger/thin metal rod as an armature and sow onto said black dress. Sow purple fabric on underside.

Yay! Now it depends on how busy I am going to be tomorrow.
