Hi everyone :wave2:

I was thinking of trying to book a Fantasmic Dinner Package, but DH and I are not big eaters at all. I'm starting to think it wont be worth the money, so my question is - just how much time does it save you versus just walking up to Fantasmic and waiting in line???

Thanks :goodvibes

Hi, and welcome!

I can only compare the package to the times we went to Fantasmic before that option was available, but I'd say the package saved us 1.5-2 hours of waiting. The first time we went to Fantasmic, we stood in a line outside the gate for an hour and a half, and then spent more time waiting inside the stadium. With the package, you arrive 30 min. before the show, and that's it.

Since you're not big eaters, perhaps you can skip lunch and have an early dinner (you'll be seated around 4:14-4:30 for the 7 PM show), so you'll be ready for a meal.

I think it completely depends on when you are going to be visiting. I have never in my life waited in line for Fantasmic. We usually go about 30 - 45 minutes before it starts and we have never ever had a problem getting a seat. Not a front and center seat mind you, but I don't mind being a little off to the side. You can still see everything just fine. And I think the package seats are on the side anyway. I'm sure at really crowded times of the year it's more of a problem, but DH and I are usually there on Saturday nights and we've never had a problem getting a seat. Good luck!

We have gone to the show three times and usually get there approx 30 minutes prior all three time we just walked up and got pretty much front center. We went in April, and twice two weeks ago. Actually when we went on September 27th they cancelled the show about 10 minutes after it was suppose to start due to lightening in the area. We were very dissappointed since we didn't have park hoppers and had plans to go to EPCOT the next day. As we were leaving EPCOT around 6:00pm on the 28th I went up to guest relations and told her we were at the show the night before but it was cancelled and asked if there was anything we could do. She gave us tickets that were valid from 6:00 to closing for free. I was pleasantly surprised.
We did notice that the Fantasmic dinner seats are to the far right. Have a great trip!

I think the food at H&V is great, but if you cannot eat a lot of food in one sitting (buffet), it will truly be a waste of money at $22 a head.

Thanks for the advice everyone :goodvibes
It sounds like it might be a less busy time of year when we leave (woohoo - 29 days!!!) so i think we'll take our chances and just walk up. Oh my, I'm getting anxious... :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

I think they have good salads at the Brown Derby. We had ADR's there but had to cancel at the last minute.

We were there in early August. My DH and DS had to ride ToT one more time. When we got to Fantasmic 30 minutes ahead, there were no seats left. It wasn't a huge deal because we went back another night. I think we got there a little over an hour ahead and had great seats. All depends on your timing. We usually get the Fantasmic package because we hate to wait in line and LOVE Brown Derby Filets. (We were on a budget vacation that time). We are going over Christmas and definitely have Fantasmic dining package so that we will be able to see it.

We were there July when the parks were packed. We went to the last show of the evening and there were still seats availabe on the sides.
