Good afternoon,

I have an electric stove and I noticed one of my burners really smells for some reason. It needs a good cleaning but I'm not sure if its ok to soak them or not. Usually I just wipe them down a bit and they are fine.

Any ideas?? Will soaking them hurt them?

Thanks!

I have a gas stove now, but I used to have electric.

We noticed at one point that a certain cleaner that I was using on the burners was causing a bad smell when it would burn off.

As far as soaking, I never tried it, but I don't see any reason not to. I would just make sure that you dry them thoroughly before you place them back on.

Thanks Chriz,

I'm thinking the same thing but want to make sure I wont be harming the coils in any way.

Have a nice weekend!
