My husband and I are having a hard time agreeing on when to make our ressies for an Oct. 22-28th trip to WDW. I of course wanted them made weeks ago and he wants to wait as late as April. :sad2: Is that too late? Am I being stupid? Is 6 months far enough in advance? :earseek: I think part of it is I feel more like it's really happening when we have ressies actually made.

Anyone want to calm my nerves a liitle bit. :teeth:

For those dates I would suggest as soon as possible..as it is a very busy time at disney. Especially if you have your heart set on a certain resort/room/view.

Hello,

I usually make my ressies as close as 1-2 months ahead, usually as this is when most of the discounts become available. Of course you can always book farther ahead, and try to get discounts applied to your reservation as they become available.

Hope that helps,

Take care,

Bill

Six months should be plenty of time in advance to make your ressies. If you have your heart set on a very specific room type at a certain resort, it may make sense to book earlier rather than later. I know I didn't book Pop for my October stay until at least May last year.

I just booked my air 2 weeks ago and made my hotel ressies in Dec. for my upcoming August trip. If you already know when you are going and know which resort you want to stay in you should book early. Like everyone else has said, booking the resort will get you the room you want if you have your heart set on a certain one. If discounts come up between now and then they will apply them for you if you call them.

I would book it now, it's little down and you'll be able to pick any room preferences you have. It's right before Halloween, so I would think it would be a little busier at that time. Plus,it does make it feel "real!!"

I went ahead and booked our trip for Oct. 7-15 even though I am not sure those are the actual dates. I guess that was stupid. But I haven't done anything with airfare yet, and I have until the middle of August to change the ressie around without penalty, so I just booked it. Once the school calendar comes out (which is just about to make me climb the walls) I will be able to nail down our dates and make some decisions about airfare. Of course with the EMH schedule not coming out until about 60 days ahead I won't be able to make PS's or plan what park to go to on what day for many months. One step at a time, I suppose!
