I was going to wait until we arrived at WDW this summer to purchase our APs but I think I would like to get them now so they'll be paid for! I used an TA last time to get our tickets but I have done all my room bookings etc. on my own this time. Could someone please suggest the best way I can purchase our APs? I live near London, Ontario. Do I use a TA or is there another option for Canadians?
Thanks, all the help I have received here has been so great! :flower:

I believe you can order them directly from WDW and they'll send you an AP voucher +$3 shipping. You then turn in the voucher at guest services for an AP. Call (407) WDW-MAGIC to order the tickets.

ETA: You can also have select the will-call option which means that you pick up the tickets from guest services.

When I bought mine I checked at the Disney Store and they could order one for me, but it took a couple of weeks. At the time (2003), not all guest services could give you an AP, only DTD or the gates to the park. I was concerned because I was arriving late at night and had the AP rate.

I ended up just going to the AK gate and buying it the day after I arrived. They let me check in without it.

Thank you both for the info. I checked the Disney website and they are charging $515 for an adult AP which I am assuming is in Canadian funds but no where does it say that and the passes are only $420 US according to the boards. I don't live anywhere near a Disney store so I think I'll just go to a TA and get a voucher for the tickets. I can't find any other place online that sells them to Canadians. I'm glad you can check in without them because we may be arriving too late to exchange the voucher. I'm new to doing my own bookings and I am the kind of person who likes the trip paid for ahead of time, that way I can enjoy the holiday. :flower:

One thing about buying an AP voucher at the Disney Store ... they don't always adjust for the current exchange rate. Sometimes it is actually cheaper to buy an AP when you get to the US because you'll pay the actual exchange rate.

$515 is in US but it is for a Premium Annual Pass ... I believe this pass gives you access to the water parks along with the theme parks.

$420 US is the price after tax that you'll pay for an Annual Pass. The price before tax is $395.

HTH :)

We ordered ours from WDW directly and received them via courier about 5 days later - the cost for shipping them was $3.00.
We activated the vouchers our first day there at Epcot guest services (we did not need to have an activated AP to check in eventhough we had AP room rates). The AP's are good for one year from the date we activated them.

I need some help with APs too. Am I right in understanding that I can purchase our APs now but I don't have to "activate" them until we get there? And they're good for one year from the time we activate them?

Is there a time limit between the time you purchase them and the time that you activate them? We're planning on going in October. For budgeting reasons I'd like to go ahead and get them now. What if we have to cancel our trip in October and can't go for another year. Voucher still good?

Any help would be appreciated!!

Absolutely. We purchased our AP's in November '04(before the 2005 price increase) and activated them mid-March '05. They are good until mid March 2006. Just make sure you take copies of your vouchers/receipts in case they get misplaced. You have a better chance of replacement if you have proof you had them in the first place. Once you get your AP's-take a copy of those as well (same reason).

Thanks so much! That'll help a lot with the budgeting to be able to get those paid for first!!!

:cool1: 144 days and counting!! :cool1:
