Help! Problem with memory card or camera?

I have a Kodak easy share z650. Last night after loading some pictures onto my computer, I put the memory card back in and it said it needed formatting. I looked online and found out how to do that. It took a couple more pics, then when I went to load them onto the computer, they wouldnt show up. I put the memory card back into the camera, and it said it needed formatted again.

I assumed I had done something wrong and just maybe needed a new memory card. Got one today, put it in the camera, and it says it needs formatting. If you hit continue, it says formatting, then goes back to the screen that says it needs formatting again.

I dont know what to do....is it the camera? I am by no means a professional at this...so I hope what I have posted makes sense.

Try taking the battery out of the camera and let it sit for a few minutes. Put the battery back in the camera. That may work but I'm not sure.
