Hoping that a fellow DIS'er can help out my neighbor. She ordered an Aurora costume from DisneyShopping.com for her daughter's 6-year-old birthday next week. Just found out it's out of stock and won't be available until this SUMMER. She doesn't want to pay a fortune (probably $40 or less) but is getting a little desperate. Can't even find one on e-bay.

Any ideas for other web sites she should look at? She is also calling the various re-sale shops around her to see if they have any available.

Thanks!

Try TJ Maxx. I was in one last week and they had lots of princess costumes. I just passed by them, no girls in the family but I did see they had a whole whack of disney princess costumes.
Also can you sew? Patterns for halloween costumes are around prettymuch all year long.. or if you know someone who can sew, often that type of material is on sale at this time because no one is buying it.

Although official disney dresses, littledressupshop.com has some very cute princess dresses that look very much like the disney ones. I found out about their website on the dis and they princess dresses to one of the Extreme Makeover Houses last year. The quality is excellent and the fabrics are very soft with the lining being sewn over so as not to be scratchy. we have both the belle and sleeping beauty versions. I think they are around $26.99 with free shipping! I also talked with them before I ordered last summer and they were very helpful and friendly.

Wal-Mart has Aurora dresses for about 20.00.

You could try a party store (Party City or such.) They sell costumes year round.

Thanks so much for the help, everyone. My neighbor is going to check out Marshall's, I'm not sure if she's looked at those other stores yet or not. I'm also going to check the web sites again, and I told her to keep checking e-bay. At any rate I'm going to bookmark these sites myself so I have some resources next time I need something, and apparently you should buy everything from late summer through Halloween because it's hard to find the rest of the year!

Thanks again!

I just bought the premiere Ariel dress on ebay (user id cdotla) - retail over $70. It doesn't fit my daughter who is almost 4 but it should fit your friend's daughter. I will sell it for what I paid - I think around $34.

Let me know if interested -tavery@eastlink.ca

Thanks,
Tricia

I ran into the same problem. I ordered one on ebay (paid $25) and was quite happy. If you need the seller info, pm me.
