Call your local planned parenthood.
Years ago, when I feared getting pregnant a friend of mine told me about the discounted birth control at planned parenthood. The cash price of my birth control was less than the cost at the pharmacy with my insurance. When I was laughing at check out the clerk asked me why I was laughing I told her that this is cheaper than using my insurance. She then asked for my insurance card, and had me fill out a form. I didn't realize planned parenthood took insurance--with my insurance card I ended up with brand name birth control for less than $50 a year.
I don't know if that is still the case, since I have not needed it in more than 5 years; however it is worth a phone call.
