Hi
Thinking aboout taking our first trip to DLP in a couple of weeks so a few questions.
We haven't booked anything yet, so where are the best deals, thinking of staying for 3 or 4 nights.
Has anyone driven down, just had a new car but never driven on the continent and how long will it take.
What is it like, have read that its not as good an atmosphere as Florida.
And finally how busy will it be from the 26th July?
Thanks in advance
Anthony

It will be very busy at the end of July - more so towards the weekend but very bsuy in the week too.

My wife has been Disney in Florida and she much prefers Paris, we both prefer Paris to Tokyo Disney too.

I'll be there from 28th - 31st - be sure to say hi :earsboy:

DLP is 200 miles from the Calais area. It takes us just about 3hrs at a steady 80mph with a couple of loo stops and a burger half way.

Driving on the autoroute is much less stressful than UK motorways, there is very little congestion or roadworks. Tolls each way cost Euro 17.50.

Hey there, if you haven't booked anything yet try booking with Disney direct as I have never found anyone cheaper then them. I always drive it doesn't take too long as stated by Bubblefactory the autoroutes are a lot better then in the UK. I am off in August i booked the ferry seperately with P&O which worked out cheaper then booking it with diney but that could vary.

Have fun when you go:D

I think the Magic Kingdom is much lovelier than its Florida counterpart. The scenery, attention to detail and theming are just beautiful, and everything is much newer and cleaner. The rides are generally a lot better too (Pirates is 4x as long than in Orlando!). The only problem is having to deal with a few rude visitors, who often think nothing of pushing in front of you in queues, and cast members who don't seem as dedicated to their work.

And finally how busy will it be from the 26th July?

We went at the end of July last year, and although it was very crowded, the parks were practically deserted until 11am. Arriving in the parks early, and with good planning, we managed to do everything several times, staying for 2 nights.
