hi, can anyone help please?

i'm using photoshop elements 6 and trying to make some picture names.

how do i get them with the edging around the text, or with a glow?

i can only get them to come up like this, so far..

I use photoshop 8.0 there's an f at the bottom right of the computer screen...it should say "add a layer style" I use "outer glow" or "stroke" and you can use the slider bar to make it thicker thinner etc...I hope I expalined it ok...

In my photoshop CS3, you double click on the layer (the name of the layer, not the thumbnail) or right click and choose blending options. Then you can check what effect you want. If you highlight the word of the effect, it takes you to options for that effect. Does that help?

I took the time to try each effect. The ones you are looking for are "outer glow" and "stroke". It took me a while to realize that the font effect will change if I put a check in the box, but I had to actually click on the word itself (the name of the effect) and highlight it to change how the effect looked -- colorwise and all. Hope that helps!
