Well red stitch is on the DMR site (if you get the points)
Bird hat was on a quest at Disney Land/World
But in my view i think bird#

If you're talking rarity as in quanity in game I'd certainly say the Red Stitch is more rare, by far! The Bird Hat was part of the Pirates Quest retired back in '05, but many many thousands made it into the game then. Fast-forward to November of '06 and the Bird Hat was re-released as part of the VMK Mystery Pin sets. The Pin version of the Bird Hat has been available in-parks/on-line for over a year and still going strong.

The Red Stitch has only been out a few weeks and, generally, requires the purchase of several Disney Movies. There are many Red Stitch in game, but no where near the quantities as the Bird Hat.

If you're talking Popularity between the two items. That's difficult to figure objectively. Since Red Stitch is new, I'd guess more people would be looking for that, since so many already have the Bird Hat. Then again, a lot of people get a kick out of having a sea gull on their noggin' - heh.

If I were trading a Red Stitch, I would ask for more than just a Bird Hat.
