We are flying out on our first trip to Disney on Wednesday. (Still can't quite believe it).
Although we are going for 14 nights, as it is our first trip I did not want to take on too much (plenty of rest days as so many of you have advised) so we were not going to book any meals at Disney. However, I was thinking of attempting Chef Mickeys for breakfast on our last day as our flight isn't until early evening.

I believe that this is at the Contemporary :confused3 , is this actually inside one of the parks? Will I need to use a day of our park tickets to attend or can we just go to the resort and have breakfast? Can we park there? We are staying off site.

I appreciate I have left it very late to book this but I am hoping for a cancellation or something. Or can I just turn up and hope for the best?

Any advise would be really appreciated.

It is the Contemporary Resort :) This resort is just outside of the Magic Kingdom, you will not need to use a them park ticket :) If you have a breakfast reservation you will be allowed to park there.

I would recommend making a reservation it is a popular place call 001-407-939-3463

Have a fab trip :teeth:

its at the comptemery when you drive up to MK gate tell them you are eating theeand they will wave you througth no need for park entry
Paulh

It's easy to find, at the Contemporary Hotel use the lift there's a floor guide at ground level to tell you which level you need for Chef Mickeys. Outside the restaurant there are a few shops and toilets before you enter there should be a CM to take your ressie number and ask how many in your party, you may have to wait a little in the seating area while a table is made ready for you. If you are celebrating a special event tell the CM when you book and again when you arrive they really know how to celebrate at this restaurant!! :woohoo: ::yes:: ::yes:: Have fun and enjoy the atmosphere!! :thumbsup2

And when you've finished, if you have no other plans take a monorail trip-it stops inside the Contemporary-round to Ticket and Transportation centre, then swop to one for Epcot(it goes through the park so you can say goodbye to everything) You may even get to ride up front with the driver if you ask-you may have more chance if you get out at Epcot and then get in another-midmorning at Epcot back to TTC should be fairly quiet.

Have a wonderful time, and I hope you get your ADR.

They do usaully give you a parking ticket for a set period of time say two hours as lots of people tryto go to CM's and leave their car at theContemporary and walk to MK, as its the closet car park to MK far shorter than TTC.

Be careful as they do check on you the front gate has a list of ADR's to check you, and they ask for Photo ID, which for us is often a Passport

We did a character breakfast ( at the Poly) on our very first trip on the last day. It was so good it was probably the deciding factor that got us hooked!

If you have a reservation you will be able to get a 3 hour parking permit - plenty of time and no park ticket.

It is a wonderful way to finish a trip - have fun!

we went to orlando for the first time JUST to get a picture of my dh (who is a chef) with mickey in his whites, well it was the most expensive picture ever taken (about 6 grand!!!) but chef mickeys was FAB and we all loved it, when the boys heard we were going back this year ALL they wanted waws for us to go back to CM, so dh could kiss Minnie again :rotfl2:
