Help please, when booking

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

When is the best time to call for a package reservation?

Is there a time when the CMs are more helpful, more competant, courteous?

I just got off the phone after attempting to make reservations TWICE!! The first CM was clueless to everthing...her computer was locked down, she kept messing up the dates, etc.
The second time the CM was booking the wrong resort, the wrong age of the kids, and quoted a price much higher than the WDW on-line site did.

I am not having an easy time trying to spend money tonight Maybe its a sign, that we shouldn't go.

I don't know that there is any 'best time' to call. After making dozens of reservations, I can appreciate when someone knowledgeable and patient is helping me. It's a standard rule (and I do mean rule) that if you're speaking with someone who is less than helpful, just hang up and try again. As you said, it's your money and a Disney vacation is costly. It's very unfortunate that you struck out twice.

On the other hand, it's also very very important to be as well informed as you possibly can be (by reading these boards and guidebooks) so you can focus your questions and requests on what your family's needs are and recognize when someone isn't giving you accurate information.

Good luck! When you get that great CM, it will be so much fun making your reservation.

The past 2 trips have been magical...starting with the CM taking the reservations! In 2003, we were booking a simple 4 night stay, not even knowing about the Fairy Tale Package, and the CM told us all about it. She was so kind, helpful, absolutely awesome.

Shortyly after I have found the Disboards. I am very knowledgable about what we want.... where we want to stay, what its going to cost, etc.

I have been hesitant about taking a trip to WDW this summer - taking a family of 7 is pretty expensive. The FTP and last year's pay for 5 stay for 7, really made it worth it for us.

DH & the kids have been talking about going again. We usually go the end of July thru the first of August.

So, after debating in my head for days....I make the call last night. In hopes that it will all fall into place and we'll be off on another magical trip.

But, after talking to DH last night, the bad vibe from the CMs, and DS's football camp schedule, we decided that is definitely was a sign. So sadly we will not be going to WDW this summer.

However, you can sure bet we'll be saving for a big bang of a trip next summer.
