Help please we are arriving at LAX very late

I have checked out all the options for transport from LAX to Grand Californian. It seems the regular bus/shuttle ends before we get there. I expect to be out of the baggage area around 11:00 pm. I think a taxi would be our next good bet but I read the meeter runs on distance and TIME so if there is a traffic jam of some sort this could get very expensive. A town car is a lot more, there are 2 of us by the way, but the cost is fixed.

so please chime in all you wise and great dissers. What to do what to do ?

We have the same problem when we go on our long weekend trips to DL. Most shuttles end at 10:30 and that's when our flight (we always take the same flight with the same carrier) comes in. I would hate to worry about catching a shuttle in time. It seems to take forever to get to the gate at night.

I don't like the idea of a taxi. I like the fixed price of our car service. I know it is more expensive than a taxi, but to us, it's worth the extra cost and peace of mind.

It's nice to have someone help us with bags and meet us at baggage claim. We usually pay extra for this service, it's $10 and totally worth it for us. I also use a service that includes tip.

halloweenqueen what service do you like to use and what do you pay if you don't mind telling me. I have never done anything like this and any inside information helps sooth the nerves.

There is van service--I think it is called the Super Shuttle, you might google it and see what you get.

Also, call the hotel, they might hae some inside scoop!!

I wouldn't worry about much traffic at 11:00 p.m. It's a long way from LAX to Anaheim though, so the cost of a taxi is probably going to be a quite a bit.
