Help?? Please W/FairyTale Pkg after Other costs??

I'm not sold on only staying onsite. We have friends that have a Timeshare they want to share with us Thanksgiving week. I would go to WDW sooner to take advantage of this Deal!!

But then comes this FT Deal!!! But!! I not sure about the true costs??

The cast Me[dw],Dh,and DD age 14.
No DC.
FT pkg- Moderate value season 7 days $582.38 Adult $266. Youth

It will cost me at least $800 to fly us to MCO from PDX.

$1432. 7days+UPH at Moderate
$800. fly
$800. food
$350.rental car

Total=$3382.00

What other Costs have I forgotten??

Savings to this point for trip=$0.00

unless I'm mistaken, the FTP does not include the time frame around Thanksgiving so you'd have to change your travel time to use it.

The Fairytale Package is good from July 4th through October 30th if I remember correctly.

You're right!! But I would go to WDW sooner to take advantage of this Deal!!

I personally would go and stay onsite for 7 nights/8 days and take advantage of the package. HOWEVER - with a "teenager" you might want the space the timeshare would allow. Staying offsite you will want to factor in parking each day ($7/day I believe) and your passes. If you aren't going to be there 8 days anyway it might be cheaper staying offsite. It is a decision that only you can make based on your family's needs. Something to consider also is "sharing" a timeshare with friends - even a big timeshare with great friends it could be rocky. We are going with friends in September and I am truly looking forward to it a ton - BUT I would not want to go and share a room or condo. I need my space away from them too. And after driving 24 hours give or take I want a room to myself (I don't mind sharing with DH ) So your relationship with these friends is something to consider along with what your relationship might be after sharing a timeshare for a week. On the other hand having a full kitchen will save you some money too.....whatever you decide Good Luck and have a wonderful trip:D

We own a timeshare, and just bought into DVC. Timeshares are great with the kitchen, several t.v.s, two bathrooms, and lots of space. That being said, staying onsite is truly magical, and this package rate looks great. Good luck in your decision!

I think you may be budgeting too much for the car and food, so those costs may come down. We usually figure $100/day for food and souveniers for our family of 4 (kids are elem age) and usually come under that budget.
Do you really need a car if you are going to stay onsite during your trip (we love the bus service....makes it more like vacation to not have to drive anywhere)? You could just do a towncar for airport transfers at $90 instead and use onsite transport during stay.

Since you say you have no money saved as of yet....maybe waiting to use the friends timeshare and only having car/food/airline expenses in November might be a better choice. The Fairytale package is VERY inviting, but you have a great alternative for a great time of year.

Booked this for 5 yesterday and chose FW Cabins. We will limit ourselves to one character breakfast and an occasional lunch. Budget for groceries is 200.00.
