Congratulations on the forthcoming wedding. :cool1:

I would add Epcot to one of your days. Shopping in the many outlet stores can fill an hour or two. Disney's waterparks and miniature golf courses are great fun too.

Basically I would look at each park and work out between you what are the must do rides and head for them first.

I would also double check on touringplans.com if you are visiting parks on the quietest days with you going in peak season. We go there on 16th July - 30th July. :)

welcome to the Dis! :wave2:

You might enjoy visiting the Boardwalk one evening, They have a bar with Deuling Pianos and some great restaurants. There is an ESPN club which you may enjoy. They have dozen of TVs to watch and a fun atmosphere.

As the person above suggested, I would go to Epcot. You would probably enjoy Test Track and Mission Space. The World Showcase is such a nice place to stroll around and take in the sights. There are wonderful restaurants to have a nice meal.

Congrats on your honeymoon :love:and stay safe until time to come home.

Go out and by one of the guide books to Disney and Orlando and have some fun reading. You will be surprised at how much there is to do in Orlando.

Make sure to go to the Adventurers Club in Pleasure Island. It is the best! Also if you want to splurge on one meal eat at Fulton's Crab House and make sure to make Priority Seating Reservations for any place you want to eat at while at Downtown Disney.

Go to a bookstore and get a Birnbaum's planning book. That will give you so much extra information and tips!

Congrats on your wedding, and thank you for defending our freedom! You ARE appreciated.

I would suggest you (or your wife, if not available at the PX!) get The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World and read it cover to cover. It is entertaining and informative, and was absolutely essential in planning our first family trip to Mickey's World in 03.

We usually have a "rough" plan for each day, based upon what each family member is most interested in doing, and try to arrive early enough to hit the high spots early, before the crowds get large. We also stay late for the same reason. The "plan" is subject to change, based on line length and such, and we do not try to do the Commando Mode deal, too much, but it is helpful to have some kind of organized approach to the parks. Otherwise, one tends to wander aimlessly and not get as much out of the stay as others, who do some planning.

Hope this is helpful.

Congratulations on your marriage and Thank you for your service to our country :grouphug: (son-in-law just came home from Iraq in March)

Are you going to have a car or a rental while you are there? The reason I ask is that you say you are going to Bush Gardens, Universal Studios and Island of Adventure. These parks are not part of Disney and you will need transportation to get to them.

Disney Parks are: Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, MGM Studios, & Animal Kingdom. Two water parks are: Typhoon Lagoon & Blizzard Beach.

Have you picked out a hotel yet?

The replies about getting the books are good. Got both the Birnbaum Official Disney and the Unofficial Guide to Disney World. They both have many helpful hints.

Keep scanning these boards, too. There are lots of answers to questions you may not even thought of yet.

Hope you have a magical time.

Thank-you for defending our country! I hope that you have a wonderful honeymoon. Many couples get the Mickey ears for the bride and groom. It is always fun to see these around the parks. :earsgirl: :earsboy:

Be aware that Disney World is BIG, really BIG. You have a lot of places planned to see and while you'll enjoy each of them you won't even begin to see everything that is there! That's ok, it gives you an excuse to return! ;) Try to get a guide book and pick 3 or 4 MUST-SEES at each park. Get there early (are you staying on-site? if so do the early entry at least at MK) and do the must sees first. Then you have the rest of the day to see whatever else looks interesting.

Make at least a few PS. They will help you get a good meal, without as much wait and get you out of the heat for awhile. :sunny:

Keep reading here, and asking questions these guys know everything! :teeth:

im staying at silver lake resort in kissimmee, and I will have a rental car to get around in. thanks for all the info, what are some good shows to see on disney, and alos how do I make ps reservations?

To make a PS (priority seating) call 1-800-828-0228 and follow the prompts. If go to the Orlando Hotels board you can find lots of info on Silver Lake. Since you are staying off-site plan to do the parks on the day after early magic hour, you'll run into less crowds that way. :teeth:
