We’ve been sending photo Christmas cards since DH and I were married in 1990. Each year we display the entire collection of cards we’ve sent through the years. It’s everyone’s favorite Christmas decoration because it always brings back fond and funny memories from vacations, milestone events, etc.

Well this year, the flimsy thingy I use for displaying the card chronology fell apart. :faint: (I’ve been using this for about 3 years http://www.exposuresonline.com/jump.jsp?itemID=586&itemType=PRODUCT&path=1,2,5,39&iProductID=586).

Now I need to find a new way to display our history of Christmas cards. I need a method that won’t require using tape, or glue, cutting, or making holes. (We treasure this photo history and want to keep it intact for as long as possible.)

I suppose I could just buy another one of the flimsy things and be done with it. But, before I do, I’m asking the DIS for other suggestions.

BTW, I’m not a crafty, creative person at all.

Things I’ve considered:
1. putting each card in a frame and making a pretty group display on the piano, or someplace else. (But the cards are 3 x 6 & 4 x 8. I haven’t found affordable frames in those sizes.)
2. Getting a “photo wreath.” But I haven’t seen them for sale recently. (This is what I used before, but it got sloppy-looking, and the photo cards curled quite a bit.)
3. Asking a scrapbook expert for suggestions (but that may be a crafty solution that I’m not up for.)

If you’ve read this far, thanks for your interest. And thanks in advance for your suggestions.

What about using one of those french ribbon bulletin boards? The ones with the cris-crossed ribbons held in place by covered buttons. You don't have to use tacks with these, so no worries about pin holes damaging the photos. I've even seen some in a Christmas tree shape (green fabric, red ribbon) probably intended specifically to display Christmas cards.

You could take it to a frame-type shop and have them put them in a nice frame. They can do it so the pic's will be preserved and it will be permanent as a display. That is costly but the pic's will last forever.

Or I would get copies made and them make some kind of collage, put the originals in a photo album, maybe?
