Help please - IT question

I need some help with this IT problem.

I was wondering if anyone knows of or has any suggestions for data recoverey software that i could use to recover 50 data files from a dodgy floppy disk.

i would be real grateful of all suggestions, and links to good sites here.

Hi Carene,

Take a look at this site : http://www.jufsoft.com/badcopy/

They have a program that seems to do what you need, and you can download a trial copy that will tell you if the files are recoverable before you then purchase a licence for the software. It's not cheap ($40), but I guess it depends on how import the files are to you.

Thanks for the advice. That site is for BadCopy - which i had already tried when i posted my plea.
BadCopy was brilliant and did identify all the files, but then, as you say, to recover them you need to pay out $.
Quite cruel, really!!

Anyway, for three days i was soo stressed out, but i finally managed to solve my problem on Friday.
I visited a few PC helproom sites on the web, and the guys on there were just as friendly as the guys on the DIS boards!!, offering all sorts of things for me to try.

Thought i was out of luck until I managed to get hold of Drive Rescue -- absolutely brilliant, and i would definately (sp) recommend this to anyone with the same problem as i had.

Needless to say, i've learnt my lesson and now will ensure that i have TRIPLE back-ups of everything.
