I made a priority seating for Cinderella's Castle for DINNER, and I made it for four, because my sister and her husband are PROBABLY going to be joining us. I say probably, because it has to do with the arrival of a new grandchild for them! If they are NOT able to come, can my husband and I still go at the appointed time, or do I have to start all over again? I don't want to give up the reservation and I won't know until probably about the last minute. What to do, what to do? I appreciate any insights you may have, and thank you...Lin

Keep the PS as is. If your party size decreases due to a happy event, let the CMs know when you are checking in.

Think of it this way: their "happy event" would create another "happy event" for a couple who were waiting stand-by for a table !! :teeth:

I don't think its a problem. Remember that PS's are not reservations, so they won't be holding a table for 4 before you arrive. Once you arrive, they will simply put you at the top of the list for a table for 2.

We had to do this several times on our last trip, and it was never a problem, though we were going from 8 to 7, or 7 to 6.

We had PS for Cindy's and 2 in our group decided to sleep instead. (if you can believe that!) It was not a big deal at all. We just told the CM that our party size had changed when we checked it.

We had this happen to us last August.
My parents had planned to meet us for breakfast and then couldn't. We just informed the CM at check in and all was well.
