Just enjoy your trip.

You should be good being that you got A boarding. The A's board first and you can pick anywhere you want to
sit. I like to sit closer to the front (but not over the wing) and a window seat :)

Enjoy your trip!

We always just sit in the first place that looks agreeable..Not the very front row though as we always have something to put under the seat in front of us, which the front row doesn't have. (unless you're on a plane where the front row is backwards and faces the 2nd row.) We like close to the front because the plane unloads from front to back. If the flight is going to full we just grab the first 2 seats that are next to each other.

I usually sit towards the back, because then you are less likely to have a stranger some and take the third seat. I always get the weird ones:headache:

If I have a tight connection, I sit near the front.

We always try to get the front seat, there is more leg room.

Aw it's going to be fine. They make it easy. Just make sure to give yourself plenty of time, have your boarding passes and your driver's license (make sure they are not expired) and make sure your carry ons are ok for the airlines. That is pretty much it. I never have had a 'bad' seat on southwest.
Enjoy your flight!

Ditto sitting near the front, but not over the wings if you want to look out. I also like to sit in the emergency exit rows. Seems roomier. I haven't been able to do this since flying with DD11. Can't wait until she's 16 so we can sit there again.

Have a nice flight. :goodvibes

I thought you sat in the seat listed on your ticket....

I've only flown once, on Sept 11, 2002. There were 4 of us on a Boeing 717.

On most airlines you do. But the Op is flying Southwest. SW has an open seating policy, so no assigned seats. You line up and board in the order printed on your boarding pass, chossing whatever seat you want once on the plane.

OP has a fairly low number A boarding pass, so I'm sure she'll be fine. Even if the flight is a continuation with some people still on board, there should be plenty of empty seats to choose from.

Some people hate the open seating thing on SW, personally I really like it. :thumbsup2

OP, I'd ask at the gate how full they expect your flight to be. This time of year chances are it will be fairly booked, in which case I'd just grab seats as close to the front as possible. But on the off chance that they expect a fair number of open seats, I'd head to the back of the plane and grab an aisle and window seat in the same row and then hope that no one will come all the way to the back to claim the middle seat between you. That's a much nicer way to travel, especially if your flight is over an hour or two long. ;)
