Help please! family now wants to go

Need some advise ASAP please.
We are going to WDW the first 2 week in september and are getting the Free DDP and staying at the value resorts. When we made our ressie we asked our family if they wanted to go. (We go every year with them.) They said that they didn't want to go because of the heat and not wanting to take time off of work. So we made our ressie and all of are ADRS in april. Now they have mentioned that they want to go. As of now there is no free dinning packages available for our dates at the value resorts. They have avail. in a family suite without the FDP. They don't want to stay at any of the mods or deluxe. So what to do. If I can get them a room with free dinning, there is no way they will be able to join us at the TS (all of our ADR are at the most popular TS)because there are very little time left, if any at all. I recommended that since they are only going to have 4 days in the park they should just stay in the family suites and have CS. I feel guilty about all of this but at the same time I had asked them several times if they were going before we booked. They went last year during the free dinning and they know how booked the TS and resorts were. What would you do in this situation?

What else can you do?? You've done your very best already. If they are truly your family, they would understand that it is beyond your control. Enjoy YOUR vacation

It sounds like you are trying to make their reservations for them. (Like so many of us )

You may want to direct them to their nearest TA or hand them the phone number to see what is available.

You offered, they passed, now they have to decide if they are willing to make concessions or not.

Go guilt free, this is not your fault. you planned ahead and should have a worry free, stress free vacation!

Sounds like tough luck on them. I wouldn't worry about them or let them make the arrangements for themselves and let them try to find their own ADR's.

My parents were meant to come over in April. I usually pay for a family vacation for all of us. They didn't want to come in April. Instead they informed me they wanted to come in Sept. and go to Disney with us. I had to nicely tell them - no can do. Can't afford to take you to Disney and don't want to deal with 2 more people in the mix as it is hard enough to manage the 3 kids and the ECV isn't going to fit in the van if we take along another 2 adults.

Sometimes you can't make everyone happy and you shouldn't have to.

Unfortunately, there probably isn't much you can do, unless AAA has some rooms left under their packages. It really should be up to your family to figure this out themselves and also keep in mind that you are right about the ADR's, it will be tough to get them in with yours now.
