Help please EMH evenings

Hey! While we're talking......How are the parks with late EMH early in the day? I know most regulars would hit the morning EMH's and then hop away because the parks got crowded. Are the parks with late EMH's crowded early in the day?

This is what I want to know too! We've got an 0800 ADR for Cinderellas Breakfast on 1/29, and that night is an EMH night at the MK, so we're wondering what the crowds will be like.

I will venture a guess though, with the free park hopping for that time period, that people will start out at a non-EMH park and then hop over to the evening EMH park, or those slow morning people may just go into the evening EMH park around noon. So I'm thinking it should make the early mornings of the evening EMH park VERY UNCROWDED?!?!?!

(DID that make any sense? :confused3 )

I'm not KK, but I think I know what KK means. Since the Tuesday the 30th is is one of the only days that week without MVMCP (MVMCP is on the 29th, the 1st and 2nd), that this night is likely to be VERY busy for those who choose not to do MVMCP. I'll be avoiding MK that night too.

You hit the nail on the head Stacy - I'm afraid it is going to be crazy that night! We really want to see wishes & Spectro so that is when we are going to have to go (Sat. night is just not in the cards for this crowdaphobe!) I'd love to get in a couple of attractions - but wonder if we will be better off just relaxing & enjoying the 2 "shows" & then bolting out. There have been so many reports about the insane crowds during evening EMH - add to that this is one of the only nights to see Wishes...

mmmm.... I wonder how booked the resorts are for that night? Only resort guests can "enjoy" emh's...

While not there in the past month, we did 10 days in May(May13-22) when parks were not very busy at all with a 1 1/2 year old and and 4 year old. The only EMH we did and probably will ever do again was MK. It was miserable. ABout three hours before park closed to general public the park kept filling up, crowds were pouring in. Once the EMH officially started we wandered around for about an hour, rode nothing and left. The wait on all the rides had tripled since 1-2 hours before park closing. I have an upbeat attitude on crowds, usually handle them well and my kids do well staying up late, but we all thought it was ridiculous since we had practically walked on most rides the other days we were there. We are going back ten days 12/13-12/22.

I would encourage you to definitely take advantage of EMH. We are - and we'll be there 11/23-11/27. We were there the week of July 4th and these boards had us scared to death about EMH. The talk was it wasn't worth it because it was so crowded. We tried it anyway and to our surprise...it was fabulous...one of the best ideas Disney has had in a long time. (still doesn't make up for the hair-brain BRP - LOL) Anyway, we did MK on a Friday night and it wasn't empty by any means, but it was very manageable and so much fun. Did AK one night and it was empty. Did Epcot and it was almost empty with the exception of Soarin...which can be expected. We loved it and can't wait to try it again.

How does one find out if they open for 1 hour or 3 hours extra?

It's 1 hour extra for the morning EMH and 3 hours extra for the evening EMH.

We were there in October and only did one evening EMH (at MGM). We found it to be moderately crowded, but it didn't affect us much. We really had done most of what we wanted to do there already in the trip. We did the Great Movie Ride with about a 5 minute wait, saw the later Fantasmic, and called it a night.

The one evening EMH I'm really looking forward to is AK, which I know is a little silly, since it sounds like there's not much open for it. I've just always wanted to see what the AK looks like after dark. We weren't able to do it on our October trip, since it didn't line up with our schedule (no evening emh there any of the nights we were there), but we'll have another chance in January. I'm excited about it!
