Help please - AKL Jambo

Hi,
I have rented points for a Studio Standard View for a stay arriving November 30th. I was thinking about requesting a room through the touring plans website which says it will fax a request on my behalf, but they seem to have very mixed info on their website about what is a standard studio and what isn't. When I look at the 'view from rooms' photos some of them are clearly savanna but I thought all the standard studios were pool view?

If I had even the slightest chance of seeing a giraffe from my balcony, it would be a dream come true and absolutely make this birthday trip for me! I know there is nothing definite - we couldn't stretch to savanna because of medical treatment this year - but I thought if anyone knows it will be you!

So if you were hoping for your best possible chance of a savanna glimpse from a standard studio, what room/rooms would you request?

Several years ago the savanna view rooms with the poorest views were reclassified to standard view at Jambo. These were mostly the rooms that are located above the "people pens".

That's great! Is there a way to work out which rooms these are? Are all the DVC rooms on a certain floor? Thanks for your help!

No I know that - the touring plans website faxes the resort on behalf of the guest to politely add room requests to the reservation.

DVC room requests should be added to your reservation by the owner. Disney doesn't like faxed room requests, it adds to the room assigners job and many of them ignore the faxes.

No I know that - the touring plans website faxes the resort on behalf of the guest to politely add room requests to the reservation.

All the DVC in Jambo are on the 5th floor (except concierge which is on the 6th) so don't waste a request on the floor. For your best chance at seeing animals I'd keep it simple and put in a request for a partial savanna view.

Thanks for this - I will get in touch with the broker and ask if they deal with this. If they don't, I guess there's no way for me to add a request to a reservation on my own?

If you wanted to try the touringplans option this should help. Even just requesting Kudu Trail would be the partial savanna views and no pool views.
