I am coming upon my 180 day mark for our trip in September and I am having a difficult time making my final decisions. Please give me any suggestions!! We will be going with our 2 year old and 7 year old. Both boys. We are on the dining plan and staying 8 nights.
Here is what I am thinking-
Crystal Palace
Hoop De Do
Ohana's
Whispering Canyons
Donald's safari
50's Prime Time
Tepan Edo
Hollywood Play n Dine
Would love to hear from others where they have taken their young kids to that they enjoyed.

U have great aged boys and they will definitely enjoy all of the places that you have chosen.. Chef Mickey's is another one they may enjoy it has all the main disney Characters..

We have eaten at almost all of your choices with our DD's:

Crystal Palace - Family favorite; we eat here every visit. We especially like to schedule the early breakfast seating so we are in the MK before park opening.

Hoop Dee Doo - our older DD's were 2 and 10 when we ate here and they loved it!!

O'hana - are you thinking about breakfast or dinner? The character breakfast is fun. We haven't eaten dinner here since the menu changes a couple of years ago.

Whispering Canyon - the girls also love this one!!

Donald's Safari Breakfast - not one of our favorites but we go during June when it is a little busier. We always feel rushed and don't really enjoy the character experience. I think this meal would be much more fun during September when it isn't as crowded.

50's Prime Time - another one we used to really like but haven't been back in a couple of years. The last two times we visited wasn't nearly as much fun as the first time we went here.

Hollywood Play n Dine - we did this for lunch one year and were not really impressed.

What characters are important to your kids? Sometimes that decision outweighs whatever food is being served ;)

I would also recommend the Garden Grill. It's a great way to meet Mickey.

I would suggest you replace the Crystal Palace with the Garden Grill. While the food isn't exactly stellar at either location the food is brought to you in Garden Grill and you actually get to sit down and relax.

Crystal palace, as a traditional buffet, is more difficult to navigate, especially with a two year old.

In addition, the characters at Garden Grill are a lot of fun and we have experienced better character interaction at Garden Grill than Crystal Palace. It was also quieter. You get to meet Mickey, Pluto, Chip and Dale. All of which should be big hits with your two boys.

The last two trips we had to Crystal Palace ended up in waiting over an hour past our ADR time, for which we had arrived 15 minutes early. The restaurant is off our list for the time being.

We've done O'hana (character breakfast) and Teppan Edo and really enjoyed these two meals! O'hana was fun for the kids dancing around the room conga line style with Lilo, Stitch, Pluto and Mickey!

As an alternative to Hoop De Doo Review, you might consider Mickey's Backyard BBQ. Particularly if you are not doing Chef Mickeys, this is another way to see the Mouse himself. However, note that the characters do not come to each table; they dance with the kids on stage. If you want autographs and table time, Chef Mickey and/or Garden Grill.

Chef mickeys is a must-a great way to relax and eat dinner after a day at the park and all the characters come to you!! Its the main characters too mickey minnie donald pluto goofy...some people don't care for the food but I think its great! Kid friendly and they have a make you own sundae bar!!

Thanks for the suggestions! We have done chef Mickey's before, but I would like to try some new places.

You are using 9 TS credits and for 8 nights you only have 8. HDDR is 2 credits, but I would definitely keep it. I think your kids will love it.
I would eliminate H & V. It is one of only 2 TS we will not return to. Unless you are doing breakfast for the characters, it was terrible.
Have fun
