Just one more question: what are the ages in your group?

That is always helpful when helping fellow travelers plan! Then we would know if you're up to 'bouncing' around the parks are not!

Thanks!

My daughter is 6 . THen my hubbie and me. I was thinking of one night heading over to fort wilderness for the campfire and maybe eat atTrails End too.
thanks for your help
Diane

Tuesday is a good day for Magic Kingdom. Not sure what time of year your trip is...that will significantly impact planning due to crowds and hours. That is also needed to determine parade & firework times.

Your expectations for the first day might be too much for dd (as the mother of 3 DDs).
Since you have such a nice long trip, you might want to spend the first day settling in, seeing the resort, and getting to bed early!

Also, if you arrive at MK and it is very crowded, you might have to leave for your PS before dd gets to do very much . . .

We love Trails End and always stay in the FW Resort. The campfire is a great relaxing activity to do when you don't have an early morning the next day.

Congrats on that Cindy's Ressie!!!!

We are going the first week in May. I get so excited and forget so much information... lol
Which parks did your daughters love ? My daughter will be 6
Diane

I would definitely take advantage of the EMHs as much as you can. It's always good to get a few extra hours in the parks (especially since they're less crowded then). Since you have a 6 year old it would be especially good at MK since most of the kids rides get super crowded by 11AM and remain that way until the evening pretty much. Also take advantage of the park hopping - it's good to spend time in a park in the morning, go back to the hotel for a pool break or nap, and then go to a different park at night all refreshed. I find i get bored and cranky if in the same park too long (and this is me at age 20 talking - can't imagine a 6 year old, lol).

As for restaurants, Teppanyaki is wonderful! Your daughter may get a kick out of them cooking on the tables. If you're going to Fort Wilderness, why not go to Hoop Dee Doo? That's great fun for everybody.

I have rules against going to MK on the first day from personal experience. By the time you get there, the park will probably be crowded and probably the last thing you want to do after travelling all day is wait in line. I agree with the previous poster that you may have to leave for your PS without getting much accomplished and it could be too much of a hassle. Good luck!

What time is your dinner the first night. Maybe you can watch the fireworks from the comp. and catch the Electric Water Parade. This would be an wonderful way to began a vacation!

If you ar going to AK on sat I don't think you need to go there on Thursday(Just my opinion.)

I agree with Teppanyaki, it was a great place for dinner!

Don't forget about MGM. Their show fantasmic is not to be missed!

If I had an 6 year old I would do the family tour in MK, it looks like such fun. You go on some sort of treasure hunt and end up meeting a character at the end. I think it's only around $25.00 per person. The people on this boards cah help you out with this more. I only know that most people love this.

You are going to have a magicial vacation. Enjoy! :earboy2:

The dinner reservation is for 6:10. I think that would be a great way to start off our vacation with fireworks and the electrical parade. What time is the both?
Family tour sounds really interesting I will have to find out more about this ... thanks so much for the info
Diane

Diane,
I do think that idf your dinner is at 6:10 that should work out great. I'm not sure of the time they have the parade or fireworks. If you let people know when you are going, maybe they can help. Here is more information on the family tour and a priate cruise that also looks great..

Any child who has ever dreamed of being part of a pirate adventure will enjoy this recent venture by the Grand Floridian Recreation team. Children ages 4-10 will be outfitted with a pirate bandanna and board their pirate ship (pontoon boat) at the Grand Floridian that is equipped with telescopes and a map to aid them in their quest to find the hidden treasure.
