Help planning our AK day

Since we haven't visited since 2016, I'm not real clear on how far it is from Pandora to the rest of the park and I'm realizing it's kind of difficult to figure out our day without that information.

Here's what we want to accomplish:

FP for FOP
FP for K:S
FP for EE and DINOSAUR (2 people will go to EE while the rest do DINO)

Possible rope drop for Na'vi followed by a few rides on EE before we begin using our fastpasses (some of our group doesn't want to be there at rope drop, but a few of us might be able to arrive that early).

We also want to head out to Boma for Mother's Day brunch (last reservation available right now is 1:45 pm).

I was thinking:
9:30-10:30 EE and DINO fastpasses
10:30-11:30 K:S fastpass
11:30-12:30 FOP

Then leave by 12:45 to get over to AKL for our ADR. My biggest concern with this plan is whether any of us will be struggling with motion sickness from FOP (it runs in my family just a bit and those of us who need it will take a Bonine that morning). I didn't know if maybe it would make more sense to reverse the order, just to give us more time to recover?

What day of your trip is AK? Will you be going back to AK after lunch?

I ask because even though it’s nice to have it all planned out, the reality is you may need to be flexible on your FP times when booking, specifically FOP. I think the 11:30 is a better bet since it may not be available earlier and might even have to be an afternoon time.

To answer your distance questions, there is a feature in MDX app where you can plot two points and it’ll tell you he walking distance/time. Or just go to google maps and do it. If you have touring plans subscription, that can give you an estimate as well.

Pandora is on the opposite side of the park from EE, FYI. Probably 10-15min walk depending on your pace. I’m not saying you shouldn’t rope drop NRJ but just be aware. From there I think it’s a great plan to meet everyone by Dino/EE and loop back around to KS then FoP.

Great questions! Yes, this will be day 1 of a 10-day trip. We'll have 3 days planned at AK and this is planned to be a pretty low-key day as it will be our first full day on site and we'll be moving resorts from AoA to Pop that morning. So basically, I don't plan to do much other than our fastpasses and maybe those rope drop rides I mentioned if 2 or 3 of our group members decide to get going first thing. As far as going back to AK after we eat, I guess I figured we would spend time during the meal booking more fastpasses for people and figuring out at that point where we want to go next (either back to AK, hop to a different park, or return to Pop and get settled for the rest of the trip).

Your FIRST day. It's highly unlikely you'll even get an FoP FP+ for your first day. You probably need to make a different plan and try to get the FoP FP+ on one of your other AK days.

The timing of the FoP FP may be hard, as it gets tougher to get FP's set up at all on day 1, let alone before noon, but give it a try. Otherwise, your plan is definitely do-able, if you rope drop NRJ (be there about 15 min before park open), you probably wouldn't need to use a FP right after that for any ride as most people are making a beeline for FoP. But, yes, pick your time for KS for sure.

As to the motion sickness, either time has it's pro's and con's, the biggest thing would be having a bit of time to sit and reorient IF it does trigger anything. So, as long as you have a little wiggle room, I say try to ride FoP whenever it fits best, for whatever that's worth.
