Help planning October trip

We will be at DLR from Oct. 6-Oct 11. We have Halloween party tickets for the 7th but not for the 9th. I am trying to decide if doing WOC on Thursday the 8th will be a better plan than Friday the 9th, when everyone is at DCA due to the HP at DL. Do you think the majority of people will see WOC allowing us more time to ride rides, or is it going to be crazy regardless?

My inclination is to say that Thursday is going to be better than Friday under most circumstances for most things. There is usually a noticeable uptick in attendance in DCA when MHP starts and guests that are not attending the party, but have park hoppers tickets, head over to DCA. I don't think WoC makes a huge difference on attraction lines in DCA. Things like RSR and TSMM are likely to be still very busy. If WoC: Celebrate had been getting outstanding reviews, it might make a bigger impact, but the reviews have been mixed and it doesn't seem like it's as big of a crowd draw as Disneyland Forever or PtN.

There's also the fact that WoC doesn't really block you from getting to TSMM and not at all for RSR. Unlike fireworks, PTN and to some extent F!. So there's less impact on ride lines in DCA than any one show has at DL.

Thanks! So you are saying Thursday will be less crowded overall but whether we see WOC or do other attractions on Friday, it won't make much difference as DCA will be busy everywhere?

Another factor to take into account is that things can go wrong with any show. So, I would recommend Thursday, too, just in case the show gets cancelled (rare with WOC, but possible). That way you will still have one more chance to see the show.

We are going to be there during that same week and I'm trying to nail down which night to book WOC as well!
