We have booked our flights for our honeymoon in October/ November. Now we are trying to sort out how to fill in our 2 weeks at disneyworld. we are thinking 10 days at port orleans resort, then 3 days on the cruise line, followed by 1 night at a deluxe resort to finish it off.
can anyone answer the following: if we use the honeymoon registry are we able to use that money to upgrade our meal plan or rooms since we will have payed for the trip already?
also, does the disney transfers apply to going between resort to cruiseline and back again?

any other advice you may have would also be appreciated.

thanks in advance!! :thumbsup2

We found flights with Qantas from Melbourne - Sydney - Dallas - Orlando
then return from Orlando - Dallas - Brisbane - Melbourne. They were on sale so we only paid $2500 for 2 adults return, economy class. RRP around $6000

We have contacted a travel agent though MEI travel and are including the following:

10 nights at Port Orleans (not sure whether we will stay at riverside or French quarters, opinions welcome) with 10 day park hopper pass and deluxe dining.
(We decided on the higher dining package so we can use extra credits towards character dining etc)

we are planning on spending 2 days at Universal Studios and one at seaworld, but figure its still worth getting the 10 day package at Disney.

After our 10 day stay we will go on a Disney Cruise to the Bahamas for 3 nights, we have chosen the ocean-view room with a veranda, hopefully on level 10.

For our last night after the cruise we are treating ourselves to a night at the wilderness lodge.

We are planning on using the Disney honeymoon registy also.

thats all We've have so far... thoughts, comments, tips... please!:lovestruc

Awww...so many lookers, and no responders!! :confused3 I don't have ANY experience with the honeymoon thing, but as for the transfers -- awesome service from the resort to the cruiseline. They will arrange to pick up your luggage while you spend a day at the park, then pick you directly up from the park (for us, it was AK) and to the cruise ship, no luggage necessary! :cool1: It was great not to have to deal with a porter while we got registered for the ship.

Now, not sure about ship to resort (how that works), but seeing as they do land/sea, and sea/land trips, I'm sure they have a system for that.

I have to say: it was a highlight for us to have ended our trip on the cruise ship after a few days of running around the parks -- we fell in love with the pace of ship life -- so calm, yet plenty to do! I don't think I would have wanted to return to any deluxe resort after that!

But I wish you all the best in your itinerary!! :thumbsup2

Thanks for your post! That sounds so awesome!
It will be so good to not have to worry about luggage!
We wanted to end on the cruise but we had an extra night after it finished before our flights, so we thought at least a nice resort might top it off.
We pay our deposit tomorrow and I'm so excited!!
