Help! Planning a trip to DL. Need Hotel info!

I am planning a DL trip in 2003. When is the best time to go? Weather wise ( I don't want to melt) and can someone explain to me the different hotels?

Is there a website that lists what is available for food? How much do I plan for food?

This will be my first vacation with my son, he will be 12 at the time of the trip.

I can use any advise you can give.

As long as the hotel has a shuttle I am sure you will do ok. There are soooo many to chose from. If you want to save a couple bucks then try to aim with a hotel that has a resturant or some nearby so you dont have to eat in the park all the time. Another thing you can do is rent a car. We ate all over the polace when we had the car and its usually cheaper and a bit better.
As far as the better time to go, our summers are hot but not that humid so if you want most rides open then maybe early or late summer so your son dont have to take time from school. If you want less people then weekdays during the off season are nice, especially in the fall but that when more rides are down for maintenance.
