We are going to Disney mid April with my Husband and two girls, 2 and 4 years old, and I am trying to nail down accomodations and dining experiences. I am thinking about suites or a condo/rental. I would prefer to have a two room situation, since we have a 2 yr old that would do better in her own room. They both know pretty much every Disney character and will be thrilled to see them. Does anyone have advice on accomodations and dining? We are also FL residents, so we can get room and ticket discounts at Disney.

Thanks in advance!

:welcome:

Are you going this April? A few weeks from now? Is so, not sure what kind of luck you will have with getting the accomadations you want if you're thinking of staying on Disney grounds. Also dining reservations might be difficult at this late date.

Well... if you plan for late April you may have some luck.
We will be staying at Windsor Hills in a 3BR/3BA townhouse this year. I am not sure if you meant that you want to stay on-site or not. If not, the website is www.windsorhillsrent.com. As far as dining, I would call the reservation number and see what's available for your dates. We love CRT for breakfast, Chef Mickey's anytime, Crystal Palace anytime, and Mickey's Backyard BBQ for dinner. Good luck in your planning!

With young children I would stay on-site (and have). If you need two rooms, I would get the All-Star Family Suites, two connecting rooms, a Ft. Wilderness cabin, or rent points from a DVC member. It all depends on your budget. I would try to make some ADR's as soon as you can.

If it was me, (and it was twenty years ago) I would stay on property. Pick a resort that has the disney theme throughout. The kids, and you will enjoy it, and have alot more fun. I would consider, CB, PORS, or even the Poly.:thumbsup2

Thank you so much for your replies. Those condos look fantastic, I'm going to look into them more. It is last minute planning, but we live within a 7 hour drive, so I don't worry about getting there. And there are a million rooms, so we're just very flexible about where we stay. We did the Pop Movie resort a couple years ago, and that was fun. How much are the suites at the Pop resorts?

Please share any more ideas you might have. :yay:

There aren't any suites at Pop, just Music for now.

If you are going the week after Easter ,it is going to be crazy. I would try and wait to go a week after that. It will be just miserable in my opinion to take two young ones when it is so crowded. Also, the week after EAster might be pretty much booked up for onsite. I'm sure you can find offsite though, but might not be just what you want either.

We've settle on the last weekend of April. The Windsor condos are looking really good, and I think we might chose them.

If you haven't picked up the Unofficial Guide to WDW 2007, I would do it now. There are several recommendations for vacation homes, plus things that you never thought to ask. You can get ideas from the UG, and get them refined on the boards.:)
