Hi, all. We are coming down next week and our first day of a four day visit will be Wednesday, the 16th. We have a group of 8, from 13-78 years old. Staying at VGC, have hoppers and Genie+.

We arrive at SNA at 11 so I’m guessing we could be in park by 1 or so. Reservations that day are at DCA. We now know that DCA closes at 5 pm. No ADRs that day and are planning quick serve and food in room.

So, how would you strategize that day? We all will ride anything-lots of thrill junkies but we also love wandering and experiencing atmosphere. My mom and sister and DD’s BF haven’t been in years and haven’t experienced Carsland, etc.

Can you try to switch your reservation to DL? Seems like a waste to maybe get into DCA by 1pm and have to leave a few hours later. Or do you have park hoppers? If so, you can just hop to DL.

We have hoppers :)
Oh, good. Then how about spending a few hours at DCA, then having dinner somewhere and hopping to DL?

Cars Land is a wonderful place to stroll around and enjoy the atmosphere. If your Genie+ doesn't offer many ride options in DCA by the time you arrive, you can still easily fill time just enjoying the park and doing some standby rides. Maybe you can make some Genie+ reservations for DL in the evening.

I remember just loving the vibe of Carsland so much our first time. If it were me I would love to have an early dinner right before close at Flo’s and sit outside facing RSR. I would also focus on stacking LL for Disneyland that evening :)

I would start with incredicoaster if possible!

I just did a draft plan with Touring Plans and they had us start at incredicoaster-great minds think alike :).
