Help plan an inexpensive trip!

My friend is going to WDW for a Friday - Monday in June and needs to plan an inexpensive trip. She wants to stay on property, (a value resort is fine). Due to some strange circumstances, she didn't get her reservation made by the 17th to use the discount code or the summer package. Now what can she do? Is it possible more codes will come out? Does AAA have any discounts? Any advice that I can give her? We usually stay a week at DVC so I'm not a good one to give her much advice about a short stay or good bargains.

According to Mousesavers, AAA does offer a room only discount of about 15% on the value resorts during regular season. She could check to see if that is available for her dates. You might want to post this over on the resorts discussion board, too. Based on what they've done in the past, it is unlikely that Disney will release more discount codes for this time period. But you never know - I suppose it depends on how many bookings they got with the codes that just expired. Good luck.

Wow, that is too bad about missing the codes. If it makes her feel any better, lots of dates sold out on those codes before the 17th. AAA discount is better than nothing. Also check for discounts at the Downtown Disney hotels, you might be able to snag a good deal.

I suggest your friend do the $69 special at Hotel Royal Plaza(or book through mousesavers for $79), if there is no availability with AAA at a value. Check Disney first because the All-Star or Pop room with AAA discount will likely be less expensive since the HRP charges a resort fee of $8 a day. Purchase either a 4-day hopper or a 3-day hopper(if any are still available).
