Help- Picking Music

We are trying to select songs for the wedding. We both love (and miss very much) the Main Street Electrical Parade...has anyone had this played for their wedding? How does it sound on organ and violin? We were considering having this song for the recessional.

Are you having a Wedding Pavilion wedding? It sounds AMAZING on the organ! I heard Disney's demo and it was GREAT. I miss the Electrical Parade as well.

Thanks- yes, the wedding is at the Pavilion. I have decided we will go with this for the recessional.

My niece who is very musical listened to the song and thinks it will sound good on organ.

The Main Street Electrical parade is our absolute favorite!!! We used it for our recessional at our vow renewal and it sounded fantastic!!

From what I've heard the organ is more of an "electrical organ" so it can sound like a variety of instruments. I believe they can play virtually anything, there might be a collectors fee associated, though, if they do not have the music for the song you want played (I have no idea what that fee is, yet). We are using the song "When I'm 64" for our recessional, something modern and fun! Good luck!

if i remember right, the organist can play just about anything. you, of course, have to tell him what you want and he will have to get the music. i'm sure it would sound really good. if you're really curious about what it sounds like, i say, get the sheet music, and go to your local church. ask the organist if he or she can play it for you so you can see what it sounds like.

It was the song they played during nighttime parade in the Magic Kingdom. I know I saw it back around 1990. I have it on a CD -- A Legacy In Song. It's probably available on others too.

You might want to look for Manheim Steamroller Meets the Mouse (a cd - check ebay, amazon or order from WDW) - they have a very nice instrumental version of Main Street Electrical Parade.
