Two people in a room. Going in February so pools are not a consideration. We dont spend a lot of time in our room. Which is the better deal $$$ wise. Paying for a front of the a hotel with express passes or buying express pass when we get there if we need it? We will be buying the entry level ap passes since they are only a little more then our tickets so we will be getting hotel discount. We do not need a fancy place but do want somewhere nice. Any hotel suggestions? We normally do Disney and either stay at Pop or Boardwalk depending on our budget.

Depends on the season and what discounts are available. With 2 people it could go either way so you'd just have to do the math and compare. When you get to 4+ people it's almost always cheaper to pay for one the premier hotels than to pay for a budget hotel and buy Express Pass separately.

One of the nice things with the AP discount is that it really reduces the cost of single nights or short stays. So you might looking at doing one night at the cheapest EP hotel, then booking the rest at a cheaper hotel. Ideally, Sun night because you get the EP on busy Sun while paying the cheaper weeknight rate.
