It was suggested that I try posting this here too.

We are planning on taking my mother to DL in a few weeks. We are driving. Maybe two cars to make the drive more pleasant. She has limited mobility and will have to use a scooter (rented locally) or wheelchair (owned) all the time. She has O2 tanks that she does not need all the time during the day. She uses CPAP and O2 concentrator at night.

Since we are 5 to a room - our options are a little narrow. The BWPPI and Paradise Pier are within $100 of each other for the 4 night stay.

Any thoughts? We have never stayed at Paradise Pier. In the past we have been to the Grand Californian, DLH, HOJOs, Camelot, Tropicana, Desert inn and suites, BWPPI and CCI.

I am just so undecided - because I have never traveled with mom and she is just not mobile.

Also - and recommendations on a scooter rental place?

Thanks in advance for any input!

If you click on where it says "disABILTIES" at the top of this page it will take you to the Index. One of the top items is the "disABILTIES FAQ" which will gives lots of useful information. Post #14 deals with Disneyland and includes rental information.

Or, if you want an easier route to the FAQs, click on the link in my signature.

Thanks for the links. Since I have a bunch of old maps - I think I have decent handle on the mobility inside the park piece. But it is nice to have links to all the online resources.

The rental locations are particularly helpful.

But my main concern is hotel selection. I want a place that mom feels safe scooting around without us - if we leave to go to the parks without her. (she frequently does not feel well and just stays in bed - but then will get up with the burst of energy). We will come back and get her at any time - but depending on where we are/what we are doing that might take as long as an hour.
