My soon to be 5 year old son absolutely loves Peter Pan and insists that his birthday party be Peter Pan. I have some ideas, but I need some cute ideas for cake, activities, and decorations. Please share some ideas. Here is what I have so far:

1. Making magic wands out of paper towel rolls, stars, and lots of sparkly craft items.

2. Making pixie dust containers with colored sand and glitter.

3. Making balloon pirate swords for Peter Pan and Captain Hook.

4. Lots of star decorations with a wall decorated like the kids are flying in the sky for photos.

Any suggestions are welcome. If you have done a Peter Pan themed party, please PM me!

Check out the "Post Disney-themed dinners" thread on page 3 (last post Dec 28th). There are tons of ideas for Peter Pan and every other movie. Well worth the time spent reading!

My son's 3rd b-day was a Peter Pan theme. We couldn't find a cake, so we used a cake (think it was Madagascar) that had a beach/ocean look to it and asked them to leave off the decorations. Then I took a set of the Peter Pan play set ( Peter, Wendy, Tink, Hook, Smee, Tick-Toc, a few of Hook's crew, and lost boys, a row boat, treasure chest and palm trees) and assembled the cutest cake EVER!!! We also did a treasure hunt, and gave out goodie bags that had small pocket watches and chocolate coins and bandanas and pitate loot in them!!! ::banana:pirate::banana:

If you are interested, PM me and I'd be happy pictures with you!pirate:

Enlarge a Picture of Captain Hook and play pin the hook on the Captain.

Make pirate hats from old news paper

you can make your own word searches and make them Peter Pan themed

you can do a treasure hunt around the house or place of party and have the maps be of Neverland and make each station in your house part of neverland. Place little things to put in their loot/goodie bags at each place in Neverland they go to.

We just had a Peter Pan Party in November. The kid wore costumes from the movie, most were home made, like the pirate ones. We made pizza pirate ships. Got the idea from posts on here. We took the french bread pizzas, and addes a a pirate flag that the kids colored, and attached it with a scewer. The kids loved it. We aslo had a treasure hunt. We drew a map of the house with an X marking the spot. For a cake I found a picture online of the movie, and printed it out. I took it to my bakery that does the photo cakes, and they were able to scan that picture for me and put it on a small sheet cake. It was very cute. We out gold sparlkles in a small see through bag, and played hot potato with it, but who ever got out had to fly to Neverland. Have fun!

If someone can help me figure out how to post pictures I have a lot of cute pictures from my daughter's Peter Pan birthday party. Thanks! :teacher:

Treasure hunts are HUGE with kids of those ages. Make a map, give clues, have them follow (as a group) until you find the treasure - then give everyone a share (goody bags make great treasure).

These are great ideas. My son is wanting a Peter Pan party for his 4th birthday in April.

Great ideas! I'm thinking of doing a Peter Pan/Wendy party for my twin's 3rd b-day. They are obsessed.
