HELP Peppermint Patty

From Peanuts?

Wasn't she the lesbian redhead?

Yes, Peppermint Patty has long been thought to be the baby lesbian out of the Peanuts cartoon series. She called Charlie Chuck.

LOL did you watch Charlie Brown Thanksgiving tonight too?? hehe
hubby and I were just discussing this, we aren't sure because she loves to hold hands with Chuck.
doesn't her voice sound like a boy though?

I like that Marcie always calls her "Sir"
What's that about?

Because after 40 years I need to know! :lmao:

Okay...that leads to a different 'why?'...why'd you wait so long to ask? And, what happened 40 years ago to bring up the question?

Oh yeah, and what are the questions that have only been floating around for 30-39 years? Can we get a head start? ;)

LOL a head start would take too much time!

I guess I always wondered about her - but I guess I never paid so much attention to her! I just lost it when marcye calls her SIR! :lmao:

From Wiki:
Patricia "Peppermint Patty" Reichardt
From Peanuts Wiki

Peppermint Patty first appeared in 1966. Her full name wasn't revealed until the early 1970s. She is a good friend of Charlie Brown and Marcie. She met "Chuck" in 1966 through a mutual friend, Roy. She met Marcie in 1971 when Patty was Marcie's counselor in summer camp. This implies that Patty is older than Marcie, but later they appear in the same class. Given their respective academic reputations, however, it seems likely that either Marcie skipped a grade, Patty was held back, or both.

While academics are Peppermint Patty's weak spot (D minus is her most frequent grade), athletics are her strong suit (despite wearing sandals, which might be expected to hamper her movement). In her first storyline, she helped out Chuck's baseball team, though she later got her own team. She also has appeared playing football, hockey, and figure skating.

She lives with her dad; her mother is either deceased or out of the picture. She can be dimwitted; at first she did not realize that Snoopy was a dog; Marcie had to prove this to her by pulling apart his doghouse. Patty, Marcie, Franklin, and Roy apparently live in a different section of town from the rest of the cast; they go to a different school, and Chuck mentions that she had to walk across town to help his team.

A few years after being introduced, Peppermint Patty begins to develop a crush on Charlie Brown. She often sits under a tree with him discussing matters of the heart as he manages to evade the issue. She also developed a short-lived crush on Pig-Pen and fell in love with Pierre in Bon Voyage, Charlie Brown (And Don't Come Back!!)

Don't Ask, Don't Tell

Spongebob is under fire. Christian-right activist James Dobson last week claimed a video starring the kids' icon is "pro-homosexual." It's not the first time a cartoon character has caused a stir. --By Carolina A. Miranda and Logan Orlando

SPONGEBOB

He holds hands with his friend Patrick, but his Nickelodeon creators say the yellow sea sponge was not written as a gay character

MARCIE AND PEPPERMINT PATTY

Was Charlie Brown just a beard? Gay observers swear Marcie and "Sir" from Peanuts are part of their culture

VELMA

One popular gay website had this to say about the brainiac on Scooby Doo: "Just take one look at her and you know she belongs to no man"

TINKY WINKY

The Teletubby was famously "outed" by Jerry Falwell in '99. His evidence: Winky's purple coat and red vinyl purse

ERNIE AND BERT

The Muppet duo share a room; they inspire disguises at gay-pride events. Producers insist that they're just "good friends"

and finally FROM BLACK20 ...

Wedding Announcement: Marcie and Peppermint Patty (Johnson – Reichardt)

* by Jay LaPlante |

Dr. Marcie Johnson and Patricia “Peppermint Patty” Reichardt were wed on the afternoon of June 19, 2008. Ceremonies were held at Half Moon Bay, California, officiated by Justice of the Peace Mark Ettenhofer.

Reichardt, whose mother had passed in her childhood, was walked down by her father, name unknown, who also toasted the couple, saying, “Wahn won waaan. Wah wah, won waaah.”

Johnson’s parents were not in attendance.

Reichardt wore a red and white striped Armani pantsuit. Johnson wore ivory Moss Lipow frames.

Serving as best man for both was Charles Brown, a prominent aerospace engineer. He was joined by his red-haired wife, Heather.

After saying "I do" and "I do, sir" the couple left for a honeymoon in Napa. Afterward, they will return to their home in Santa Rosa, California, where Johnson is a local family doctor and Reichardt owns a sporting goods store.

What's that about?

What is that all about?? and why can't you see marcie's eyes thru those eyeglasses?
the things we wonder about :lmao:

Over Thanksgiving my mother tells the dinner table that as a child I carried around a small plastic Peppermint Patty toy wherever I went. I guess I had a crush.:dance3:

The end is very disturbing - Snoopy cooks a turkey for Thanksgiving dinner and has Woodstock over ... somehow watching one bird eat another is wrong. I think I'm traumatized.

My macaw LOVES turkey. Last year he was on the breakfast bar in the old place where I had made him a plate of food. A few minutes later I hear an odd noise best described as grunting. I look over and he's got his head all the way inside the turkey and is chowing down! :rotfl:

And has anyone seen the Family Guy episode with Peppermint Patty and Marcie? :lmao:
