*HELP* PC Needs CPR...Computer People Wanted

Help! I got from from school today at 2:45. I went downstairs like normal. However, unlike every other day, the computer is shut off. So I hit the power button. The green lights come on imedialty, no boot up, nothing. However, the "no signal" is still flashing on the monater. And, my keyboard's numberlock light key is off. It should be on, automaticly. Also, my lazer mouse isn't lighting up, like it should.

I call Mom at work, she said it was fine this morning. She told me to get on the laptop (thats what I am on now). So the router/firewall (wireless) still works, but I can't access the Acer (main PC's) Hard Drive, CD Drive, or CDRW Drive. I lost everything last year when I got a virus. I can't have this happen agian. Any ideas?

It is not my monator. I just hooked up the laptop to it, and its fine. I really don't want to think that my PC is dead. It was doing so well after last year. (You may remember that my PC likes to die in the spring, as it did last year).

If it seems to be completely unresponsive, unplug it and then plug it back in. Don't just shut it off, actualy pull the plug from the wall.

If you don't get anything, you might need to crack 'er open and check cabling connections.

If that fails, go up to your roof, throw it off onto something really hard, and then give it a proper burial.

Try unplugging your mouse and putting a regular mouse in. I had similar troubles and found out there was a driver problem with my optical mouse. Reinstalled the mouse driver and everything was fine.

Try to do what the others said, to unpluck the mouse, and also the tower than plug back. Also unpug the monitor and pug it back in. Then when get on, try to do a system restore to see what might of happend. That might help alittle bit or you can call for techonail support from your program designers.
