HELP?! painting child's bedroom border!?!?

I was wondering if anyone out there could please help me-- I can't find out where to do this anywhere and we are moving soon, so I am desperate!

I want to do a border in my 3 year old's room that looks like ric rac (the curvy rather than the zig zag). I saw this featured in a Martha Stewart Baby Magazine, but the magazine didn't say how to do it and her discussion boards don't get as much traffic (I tried there too!)

Does anyone know how to do this? I was hoping to paint the walls 2/3 up a light blue and the the upper part a lighter light blue with a border about two inches wide...

Thanks in advance-- I have looked at craft stores for stencils both online and in person and can't find anything!

If you want a rounded border, make a level straight line then trace a semi-circle using a plate, bowl or cup. It's really easy but make sure you have a level guideline to start with. Just make the semi-circle above the guideline then below the guideline. Any rounded object that is the size you want the squiggle to be will work. I used a gerber plastic kids bowl. Once you have the line traced you can go back and thicken the line using a paintbrush.

or if you wanted to make sure of complete uniformity you could get a piece of plastic and make your own stencil in the way ^^^ said-

thanks so much for your help.. I was scrapbooking for the first time in AGES when I realized that the Creative Memories border cutter made this pattern, so I bought a plain plastic stencil sheet and made a stencil! woo hoo! Surprisingly, the CM cutter blade worked on the plastic. Thanks again for everyone's help!
