a few questions

1. with the dining package can I exchange my sit down meal for a character meal?

2. Where can I find the best info on the dining plan- it is pretty complicated- It must be detailed in writing somewhere.

3. I want to go for 6 days but purchase 10 day non expiring tickets. the disney web site does not give me that option. do I just upgrade my tix when I get there? How do I figure out how much more it will be?

There is a great brochure located on the Disney website explaining the dining program. Go to Dining Brochure to view the brochure. It does say that you will be charged one full service meal for a character meal.

You may have to book your package by calling Walt Disney Travel Company to include the 10-day tickets.

Mousesavers has a great section on the new MYW meal plan:

I don't know the answer to your 10 day question. My first guess would be that you can't do it because you're buying a package. Is anything longer than a 7 day pass even sold at the parks? Anyway ... I don't think it can hurt to ask :).

Hi-
We are going for 6 nights and wanted 10 day non-expire tickets also. We had to call Disney to add this to our package. I hope this helps!

Oh, I forgot about the prices. I think it is $106.00(including tax) more per ticket to add the non-expire to a 10 day. There is also a slight difference between the 7 and 10 day basic. I just went to Disney.com and clicked on tickets and it has a chart with the different prices. Good luck!!

That brochure is great :). I noticed that it mentions that dessert is included on the counter service, but I have read here on the DIS that dessert is no longer included. Is it included? I'm confused.

I was just on Diseny.com and this is what the dining package includes:

Plus you add a Dining Plan that provides Great Disney Dining*** at over 100 participating Disney restaurants with a full range of dining experiences at substantial savings:

1 table-service meal including appetizer, entree, dessert, non-alcoholic beverage and gratuity
1 counter-service meal including entree, dessert and non-alcoholic beverage
1 snack including either a frozen ice cream bar, popcorn scoop, 20 oz bottle of Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, Dasani Water or a medium fountain soft drink

You may also exchange 2 table-service meals for 1 Signature Dining Experience.

I hope that helps!

I don't know if there have been any changes considering the dessert with the counter service meal. When the dining option first appeared, there were changes daily (or so it seemed).
