I don't think we've ever really suffered from it, apart from maybe on the day we arrive, given we've nearly been up for 20hrs by the time you get to Orlando. What I always do, and I seem to find this helps get things in perspective for the day, is the morning of the flight, as soon as I get up, I start converting the time to FL time. So, while I'm getting up at 6am GMT, I tell myself I'm getting up at 1am, and just keep on like that all morning until I reach the airport. Once we've checked in the luggage, I then change my watch, way before we actually get on the plane, and start cementing it into my head that it's whatever time it is in Orlando.
That seems to help a little, and also sleeping on the plane. I always find that when I sleep on planes I do that little sleep where when you wake up, you have no idea how much time has past; it could be 5-mins, it could be an hour, but you just don't know. At which point, you can look at your watch, see the FL time and that also helps to start fixing it into your brain.
I don't bother on the way back, mainly cos I'm not bother about making the most of the day when I arrive home! But because of the flight times, it's much easier on the way home to just sleep as though you were going to bed and when you wake up, your in the UK and it's 9am anyway and away you go!
