Help! Our CM made a mistake and Disney is giving us the run-around. Updated: p.2

I know how you feel......sometimes it would be nice to just hear "I am very sorry that is what you were quoted, but that information incorrect."

I recently had a similar experience regarding the interest rate on my credit card. It makes you so so angry, you know what you heard and nobody wil listen to you!!

Hopefully you can be happy with the plan you did get and have a great trip!!!!

I think that's what's the most upsetting here.

We've gone through six CM's to get to customer service. The CS rep *listened* to the recording of our phone call and refuses to acknowledge that this even happened, but won't let us listen to the phone call that we were never told was recorded. Usually when I call to book vacations through other companies, or I call customer service elsewhere, either the rep or a recording before the call will say "This phone call may be recorded." We don't care that we were recorded, but rather that they're negating the situation ever happened and refuse to let us hear our recording.

She's "listening" to the tape, again, today with another supervisor and she said she'll "see what she can do" but her attitude turned sour yesterday and if all of the customer service reps at Disney are like her, I'd rather be through with all of this.

Just an FYI:

If the CM did make a mistake and he/she priced your whole package at 30% off when pehaps the discount should have just been the room only--- WDW may decide not to honor the CM's oiginal quote.
As the old saying goes ---"Sometimes it is better not to look a gift horse in the mouth."

I have read about quotes not be hornored when the CM makes an error like this one seems to be.

Hope things work out for you and have fun at Disney!:wizard:

I just want this resolved because our 190 days are next week (original CM said we could book at 190 days. I thought it was 180...was he wrong on that, too?) and I want to be able to book our reservations and be done with it.

What the CM was talking about is 180+10 which doesn't exactly equal making ADRs starting at 190 days out. It means that at 180 days out from your check-in date you can call and make ADRs for the first ten days of your trip instead of having to call each day. So you'll actually have to wait ten more days than you originally thought to start making ADRs.

HTH and good luck getting everything else straightened out.

Okay, so we got a call from the customer service rep earlier today and she said she "found" a code where we could purchase DxDDP for an extra $768 and keep the rest of our reservation (six nights at the GF, four four-day passes, etc).

She wasn't available when we called her back, but we spoke with another customer service rep who was just so amazingly helpful and nice.

So we took the newfound "code" and everything is the way we wanted it. Thanks so much for everyone's advice and help!

I agree. They only let me use my code on the room only part of my package. I even asked if I could have it on the whole package and I was told they never do that. I was told that if you get a discount on the room then you can't have a discount on dining or ticket upgrades. I have read on another thread of CMs letting people get more than one room with their code and then other CMs won't. It is very confusing when the CMs all say different things. Someone posted this from their e-mail confirmation, and I just checked mine and it is in mine too. This is what it says.

Disney reserves the right to cancel or modify a reservation (including after a reservation has been confirmed) if the reservation includes or resulted from a mistake or error of any kind, including but not limited to a mistake in price or description of the package or package components, or where it appears that a Guest has engaged in fraudulent or misleading activity in making the reservation. If a package is cancelled by Disney, Disney shall have no responsibility beyond the refund of monies paid to Disney for the package.

I wonder if anyone has had this happen to them when they check in? From all of our different experiences with CMs, I would think that this would happen all the time.

So glad things worked out for you! :goodvibes

Why don't you just keep what you have? It sounds like you have a great deal. So you don't have the delux dining plan, does it really matter? The money you are saving will pay for your extra food? Right?
