help orlando airport

have gone through sanford several times ,but this year booked with virgin ,and the airports layout looks very difficult to understand. is there a double baggage drop-off ,and what about the mono-rail is it all well sigh posted ,how long to get through the airport. also booked virgin coach to the hotel is that on the same level . please help quite concernd

Hi there,

There is a double baggage system but it is very clearly signposted and you really cannot go wrong. I'm sure there has been a recent thread about this so I will have a look for you and post it on here in a minute.

As Karen says, you can't really go wrong. After you leave the plane you come down into the Immigration Hall. Immediately after passing through you collect your bags for the first time (you can see the carousels from the Immigration Hall). You then walk through Customs and hand your bags off where they are placed on a conveyor to be taken to the main building.

Next you pass through security. Bear left to board the monorail. You won't have to wait long - they come every couple of minutes. When you get off at the other end, you need to bear left again and head down the escalator to the second baggage reclaim. At this point, I always wait for the bags whilst dh goes down another level to the ground floor to the car hire desk. Once you have collected your bags, there are huge lifts down to the ground floor (immediately behind the baggage carousels).

You then head out of the doors right by the car hire desks and across the road into the car park.
