HELP!!!!! Online Check-in....

Does this save time...I am suprising my DH with a trip tomorrow, plane leaves @ 8:25pm and he doesn't get done work until 5:00pm...we can leave the house by 5:45pm....for my fellow New Jerseyians...we have to take 295 to 42 over Walt Whitman to 95....will we make it in time??????? PLEASE HELP!!!! really getting nervous!!

online checkin does save time. You have your boarding passes in hand when you leave for the airport. I don't know the rest of the answers to your questions, been a long time since I lived in NJ.

Do you have to check luggage? If so, online check in does not save you much time. If you don't you can go straight to the gate.

yes I have three pieces of luggage and one carry on backpack.

Most airlines now have a checked-luggage time limit that FAR exceeds the time limit for passenger checkin. Call your airline and find out what that limit is NOW! If you show up with bags after the deadline, you will probably not get onto the plane. Most airlines will accept bags several hours in advance, so if it is possible, you *could* reduce the number to your own allowance, and go up to the airport alone to check them, then go home to wait for DH.

Is there a possibility that you could call your DH's workplace and get his boss in on this? Perhaps get him sent home just a few minutes early, enough to beat the worst of rush hour?

That is a good idea...maybe I can run up after I get done work tomorrow...how early can you check your luggage in???

never mind just answered my own question...only 4 hours ahead of time which would be 4:25pm...not doable...darn!!!


His boss is an ******...wouldn't care why he wanted to leave early...DH said he would try and get done @ 4:30...this way we can leave the house by 5:15...sure hope we make it!!!

When we are crushed for time, I have DH meet us at the airport. I get the kids and all of the luggage. He gets dropped off curbside by a co-worker.
