Help on understanding when points expire

If I bought a contract with 150 points from Dec 2020 use year, when would I have to use those points by? TIA!

Dec 2020 use year points are good for vacations 12/1/2020 - 11/30 2021. You may bank them up until July 31, 2021. The banked points would then expire on 11/30/2022.

No. Resorts expiring in 2042 expire Jan 31, 2042. Their last UY will be 2041, which they’ll receive Dec 1, 2041 and have until Jan 31, 2042 to use.

I am very much hoping Disney doesn’t restrict borrowing in the final year. Admittedly, I will probably end my 2042 ownerships with a Christmas season 2041 trip, but I imagine Fall Frenzy 2041 should really be termed FALL APOCALYPSE given that the sheer number of points potentially available that everyone will be trying to use before 1/31/2042.

It definitely should be interesting seeing how that 2041-2042 booking goes. I would hope that being able to book at the non expiring resorts with 2041 points helps spread out the frenzy.

Under current rules, yes. However, no one knows how the end will play out. There will be more points than room nights, for sure. There may be banking and borrowing restrictions during the last few years. There may be lotteries & special seasons announced. We (and probably DVCM) just don't know yet.
